The younger brother of the young basketball player, who attracted all the attention with his successful performance in TBL and BGL, also played basketball. He went swimming at the request of his family and started playing basketball when he was 8 years old. Since it was difficult to carry out both at that time, he preferred basketball.
While he was a player of Giresun University (GRU) Sports Club Basketball Junior Team in Giresun, where he was born and raised, he transferred to Banvit Junior Team, one of the Beko Basketball League teams.
It was selected to the best 5 in the U16 European Championship held in 2018.
Şengün, who is a top-level basketball player with his game intelligence and theme-loving game structure, also took part in the U17 European Championship and was the captain of the team.
In 2017, he was selected as the most valuable player in the Basketball Junior League, and also took part in the top five of the FIBA ​​U18 European Championship.
