Kieran Kyle Culkin was born on September 30th 1982 in New York City, United States of America. He is the brother of actors Macaulay and Rory.
Kieran had acting at heart and began working towards it at a very tender age and got the chance to act as a child actor.
He made appearances in the films Home Alone which was released in 1990 when he was only 8 years old. Father of the Bride in 1991, The Mighty in 1998 and The Cider House Rules in 1999.
His main breakthrough to the Scene as an elite actor actually came when he featured in the film Igby Goes Down which was released in 2002.
His role earned him nominations for his first Golden Globe Award, he also went on to win big at the Critics’ Choice Movie Award.
Alongside Claire Danes, Jeff Goldblum, Amanda Peet, Ryan Phillippe, Bill Pullman, and Susan Sarandon, Kieran Culkin co-starred as Jason “Igby” Slocumb, Jr., a rebellious and sardonic teenager, in the 2002 comedy-drama film Igby Goes Down. This role won him the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for “Best Young Performer” and Satellite Award for “Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy” while he was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for “Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy”.
