Steve was born Steven Michael Robert Howey, on July 12, 1977, in San Antonio, Texas, to director and acting coach Bill Howey. He later moved from Texas to Denver, Colorado, where he graduated high school. Steve attended 'Northeastern Junior College' in Sterling, Colorado, for 2 years, through a basketball scholarship.
Growing up, Steve had spent a lot of time sailing the Pacific Coast with his ‘US Navy’ veteran parents. In the late 1990s, before moving to Denver, he worked as a waiter at the 'Grady's American Grill' restaurant in Colorado. Despite being good at athletics, Steve chose acting as a career option.
His wife, Sarah Shahi declared that she home birthed all her 3 children including 2 sons and a girl in an episode of Craig Ferguson The Late Show.
Julie Halston attended High school on the basis of a basketball scholarship, yet lost enthusiasm for the game after his subsequent year and turned his concentration on acting.
Steve Howey spent a very long time of his early youth days residing on boats alongside his family. Later, they settled in Los Angeles.
Steve’s dad, was an acting mentor, who assists him with a couple of TV roles during the start of his career.
His now ex-wife, Sarah Shahi, gave birth to twins: a boy, Knox Blue, and a girl, Violet Moon, on March 01, 2015.
